How to Find Great Images

We’ve all seen those cheesy stock images with one smiley person in the foreground and 2-3 background smilers for good measure. We’re here to tell you that you don’t have to use those (please don’t use those), even if you’re looking for images that are FREE.

Here are our 3 recommendations for high-resolution, royalty-free, AND free free photos you can use in your graphics:

1. Unsplash.com
2. Pexels.com
3. Canva (in-app library)

Of course, nothing can substitute using images of the people who are actually in your congregation. Especially if you are looking for imagery to put on your website, I highly highly recommend either hiring a photographer or enlisting a volunteer with an iPhone to take photos of your people. A huge barrier to authenticity for people visiting your church is when they only see stock images on your site. Every church is a specific body of believers doing life and ministry together, so show those people doing their thing.
